This is a new CPM role which will cover our IOW services plus Southampton Day Centre, Southampton Non UK Nationals, Southampton Navigators HVAST, Kaleidoscope outreach and support service for women sex workers, IOW 16+ single homeless pathway and Safe Haven

The office base for the postholder will be determined by where they live.
If they live on the IOW, they will be based at Fitzroy Street and expected to work in the Southampton services for a minimum of 2 days per week. If they live in Southampton, they will be based on the Day Centre and expected to work in our IOW services for a minimum of 2 days per week.

Work related travel from base will be covered by travel expenses

As a Contracts and Performance Manager, you’ll be responsible for managing a wide range of services across the Isle of Wight and Southampton for people who are homeless or in need of support. You’ll ensure that our services are delivered in line with our Vision, Mission and Values and that our clients are put at the centre of everything we do.

You’ll create and sustain excellent relationships with the people we work with, key partners and those who commission our services and will be confident in motivating and managing teams to deliver high quality services.

JOB PURPOSE

You will lead and support your teams to provide a range of services to people who are homeless or in need of support across the Isle of Wight and Southampton.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To recruit, develop and motivate staff teams providing clear support and leadership within your area of operation
  • To ensure that buildings are maintained to always provide a high-quality environment 
  • To ensure that minimum staffing levels are maintained to deliver services safely 
  • To develop and maintain excellent working relationships with our stakeholders and commissioners
  • To represent the organisation positively and proactively at meetings and deliver presentations to the local community, staff and commissioners 
  • To chair / lead key local meetings and work with other agencies to achieve agreed actions 
  • To ensure the delivery of multiple services within approved budgets (with budget responsibilities)
  • To lead on income management, specifically rent collection, voids and lettings performance
  • To work with the Regional Director to identify, cultivate and secure new funding streams and business opportunities in line with our strategy 
  • To ensure a culture of continuous improvement  
  • To implement new services as required and agreed 
  • To deliver services in line with psychologically/trauma informed principles supporting clients and staff in a trauma informed and psychologically informed way
  • To demonstrably contribute to the delivery of organisational strategies 
  • To liaise with other managers to pool knowledge, experience and ideas for service improvement 
  • To ensure adherence within services to all organisational policies and procedures 
  • To ensure knowledge of sector specific issues is up to date 
  • To undertake investigations and performance management processes where required 
  • To adhere to safeguarding responsibilities, following our safeguarding policy and procedure, and those of relevant local authorities, ensuring these are always followed  
  • To help maintain health and safety, ensuring clients, visitors and buildings are safe in accordance with Health and Safety regulations, policy and procedures  
  • To provide basic first aid assistance until help arrives (full training is provided)  
  • To work confidently and efficiently when lone working 
  • To respond to complaints in line with our policy
  • To ensure accurate records on our client management system and compliance with GDPR through regular quality control checks  
  • To maintain confidentiality   
  • To carry out any other reasonable duties required in the interest of the organisation

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

  • This role will require an Enhanced with Barred List(s) disclosure and barring service check. This would be completed on appointment of the role
  • This role will require a full drivers’ licence and access to a vehicle
  • This role will require you to work flexibly across several sites 
  • This role may require you to work outside of office hours on occasions
  • This role will require you to lone work

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

  • Ability to maintain electronic records, produce reports, analyse budgets and monitor KPIs 
  • Ability to prepare for, chair and minute meetings 
  • Clear verbal and written English and excellent communication skills 

DESIRABLE CRITERIA

  • Up to date knowledge of sector specific legislation and best practice 
  • Understanding of the principles of working in ways which support psychologically/trauma informed principals
