You'll shape person‑centred support, manage housing functions, help develop policies and procedures, and maintain strong relationships with commissioners and partner organisations. About the role

As an Extra Care and Support Manager, you’ll take a lead role in ensuring our Extra Care and Floating Support services run safely, smoothly and to a high standard across West Wales. You’ll create a positive culture, support your teams, and help deliver services that truly make a difference to residents’ lives.

In this role, the Extra Care and Support Manager will:

  • Lead and support multiple teams ensuring every scheme provides a welcoming, person‑centred environment.
  • Support staff development, offering guidance, coaching and promoting strong values‑based practice.
  • Manage housing‑related tasks, including tenancy management, rent processes, compliance checks and health & safety requirements.
  • Coordinate community engagement, helping build vibrant, connected communities within each scheme.
  • Work collaboratively with partners, including commissioners, housing providers and local professionals.
  • Represent the organisation at local meetings, forums and partnership events.
  • Contribute to service improvements, helping develop procedures, working practices and new ideas that enhance the resident experience.

This role offers variety, autonomy and the opportunity to positively influence both staff culture and resident wellbeing across West Wales.

 

About You

You bring strong leadership, excellent communication skills and a passion for supporting people to thrive. You demonstrate kindness, accountability, innovation and a collaborative mindset — essential qualities for any Extra Care and Support Manager.

We welcome previous experience working as: Housing Officer, Scheme/Service Manager, Care Team Leader, Support Worker, Community or Social Care Manager, Property or Estates Team Leader or any role with transferable people‑management, housing or support‑based skills relevant to an Extra Care and Support Manager position.
