The Vacancy
We are currently seeking a Junior Business Software Engineer to work in a hybrid capacity (home/office). Reporting directly to the Technical & Digital Services Divisional Director, the role will involve developing, maintaining, and improving internal tools, automations, and integrations across the business. Working closely with technical and operational teams, you’ll help streamline processes and deliver efficient, scalable solutions.
The Role
Assist in developing and maintaining internal applications and tools
Support automation of business processes (e.g. reporting, workflows)
Work with databases to store, retrieve, and manipulate data
Troubleshoot and resolve system issues and bugs
Collaborate with IT, operations, and other departments to gather requirements
Help integrate systems via APIs (e.g. CRM, finance systems, monitoring platforms)
Maintain documentation for systems and processes
Support testing, deployment, and updates of internal tools
The Candidate Must possess some or all of the following:
Basic knowledge of programming (e.g. Python, JavaScript, C#, or similar)
Understanding of databases and SQL fundamentals (e.g. MySQL, SQL Server,
PostgreSQL)
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Good communication and teamwork skills
Willingness to learn and develop technical skills
Experience with web development (HTML, CSS, APIs)
Familiarity with system integrations or automation
Knowledge of version control (e.g. Git)
Exposure to business systems such as CRMs (e.g. Zoho CRM)
Interest in cloud platforms or modern development tools
