About this Role

Are you a Maintenance Controller looking for a new challenge, or perhaps a Service Controller, Fleet Controller or Breakdown Coordinator ready for your next step? As a Maintenance Controller within Dawsongroup Truck and Trailer, you'll play a vital role in keeping our customers moving by managing vehicle maintenance, authorising repairs and coordinating breakdown support across our fleet.

  • Deliver a customer-focused breakdown and maintenance support service.
  • Authorise repairs, servicing and maintenance on trucks, trailers and associated equipment.
  • Liaise with suppliers, workshops, customers and internal teams to ensure repairs are completed efficiently.
  • Monitor repair progress, control costs and maintain high safety and compliance standards.
  • Review maintenance histories and warranty information before approving work.

About You

You may already have experience within commercial vehicles, transport, fleet maintenance, workshop administration or parts operations. Equally, if you have strong customer service skills, enjoy solving problems and can remain calm under pressure, we'd love to hear from you.

  • Excellent communication and telephone skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Comfortable making decisions and responding quickly to changing situations.
  • Good computer and keyboard skills with attention to detail.
  • Experience within vehicle maintenance, transport, customer service or call centre environments would be advantageous.
