About the role

 

As Finance Manager, you’ll manage a small team as well as managing day to day financial operations you will be responsible for the preparation and interpretation of monthly management accounts for the Trust and a trading subsidiary, assisting with budget preparation and cashflow forecasting, balance sheet reconciliations, and liaison with internal managers and external auditors. Your role will also include supporting the Director of Finance and Resources in the establishment and maintenance of effective financial systems and internal controls.

 

The Finance Manager will also work with non-finance colleagues across the organisation to improve finance acumen and streamline processes.

 

About You

 

The successful candidate will have:

  • an accountancy qualification (or be part qualified) (CIMA, ACCA, ACA, CIPFA)
  • experience of using accounting software 
  • experience line managing a small team
  • excellent communication skills; able to communicate complex financial information in a clear and accessible way
  • advanced Microsoft Excel skills including pivots and complex functions
  • excellent time management skills; able to work confidently under pressure
  • an enthusiasm and commitment to excellence.
