The Vacancy
Keyfix, part of The Keystone Group of companies, specializes in the development of non-combustible masonry accessories, providing the complete non-combustible cavity solution for external masonry facades in projects over 18m+.
Reporting to the Financial Controller you will lead the supply chain function and oversee all aspects of procurement, logistics, and inventory management for our products, whilst optimizing supply chains and building strong supplier relationships. This role is critical to ensuring the efficient and cost-effective flow of materials, supporting our production schedule, and meeting customer demand.
Location: Cookstown
Working Hours: Monday to Thursday 8.45am-5.00pm and Friday 8.45am-3.30pm: 37 Hours per Week ¦ On site
Responsibilities & Duties
Develop and implement sourcing strategies to identify reliable suppliers, negotiate favourable contracts, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality materials at competitive prices. Monitor supplier performance and manage supplier relationships.
Work with R&D team to source products and materials to support our product range expansion
Optimize inventory levels to balance supply and demand, minimizing stock holding costs while avoiding stockouts. Implement and maintain inventory control systems and procedures.
Collaborate with sales and production teams to develop accurate demand forecasts and ensure that supply plans are aligned with business needs. Liaise with all regions to understand current sales performance and anticipated trends based on internal/external factors. Translating this into a production forecast to be agreed with third party suppliers.
Continuously evaluate and improve supply chain processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels.
Evaluate and implement new technologies and systems to improve supply chain visibility.
Develop and manage the supply chain budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficient resource allocation.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards related to procurement, logistics, and safety.
Prepare regular reports on key supply chain metrics, including inventory levels, supplier performance, and logistics costs. Analyse data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
Work closely with other departments, including sales, production, finance, and customer service and quotes team, to ensure seamless integration and alignment of supply chain activities.
As the company expands and due to ongoing changes in market conditions and the business environment, it is a requirement of the position to undertake any other reasonable task related to the position you hold.
Essential Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. Alternativley 3 years recent experience at a similar level.
Recent and extensive experience in an operations and supply chain management role within a warehouse and production environment.
Working knowledge of International imports, transportation, tariffs and duties.
Demonstrable understanding of supply chain principles, best practices, and performance metrics.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Strong IT skills
Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
