At Bright Futures, we provide specialist care and education for children, young people and adults with complex needs. We are now looking for an experienced In-House Trainer to help us deliver market-leading, compliant training across our services.

 

The Vacancy

This is a key role for a proactive, engaging trainer who can design and deliver high-quality induction, refresher and person-centred training, working as part of the Learning and Development Team to keep our training market-leading and compliant with all regulatory updates.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Deliver induction and refresher training in a classroom setting and on-site, covering First Aid, Medication, Team Teach, Positive Behaviour Support, Epilepsy, Health and Safety, and the Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training on Learning Disability and Autism.
  • Design, update and maintain training materials and e-learning content.
  • Deliver ad-hoc training sessions based on business needs.
  • Evaluate the success of training and assess learner competency through observation, discussion and practical exercises, using data and feedback to suggest improvements.
  • Contribute to L&D Team and organisational KPIs relating to training compliance, quality and completion rates.
  • Support the wider Learning and Development Team with administrative tasks.
  • Champion Bright Futures' values and embrace a culture of Continued Professional Development.

 

What We’re Looking For:

  • Confident public speaker and training facilitator, with awareness of different learning styles.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong presentation skills.
  • Training qualification at Level 3 (AET, PTLLS, CET, PGCE, or CIPD in Learning and Development), or willingness to work towards one.
  • Coaching qualification or experience.
  • NVQ 3 in Health & Social Care, or equivalent; experience within the care sector is desirable but not essential.
  • Experience of working within a regulated environment.
  • Proven ability to multi-task and prioritise workload to demanding deadlines.
  • Full driving licence and flexibility to travel to sites to deliver training.
