The Vacancy
We are looking for a proactive, motivated and customer focused Housing Officer to join our Housing Services team.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced housing professional who is passionate about delivering excellent customer service and making a positive difference to the lives of our customers and the communities we serve.
As a Housing Officer, you will be responsible for delivering a high-quality, comprehensive housing management service across a designated neighbourhood.
You will work closely with customers and partner agencies to sustain tenancies, maximise rental income, tackle anti-social behaviour, and create safe, sustainable communities, whilst ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, regulatory standards and organisational policies.
This is a varied and rewarding role that requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, sound professional judgement, and the ability to effectively manage a diverse and demanding caseload.
You will have:
Experience of delivering a comprehensive housing management service within a social housing environment.
A sound working knowledge of tenancy management, including rent collection, anti-social behaviour case management, tenancy sustainment and estate management.
A proven ability to manage a varied caseload, balancing competing priorities while delivering excellent customer outcomes.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly, confidently and empathetically to a wide range of customers.
Experience of working collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to achieve positive outcomes.
A proactive approach to problem solving, with the confidence to make informed decisions and work independently.
