Summary of the Role

We are currently looking for full time permanent and temporary Equine Welfare Assistants.

Spread across five specialist yards, our Equine Welfare Assistants ensure that every equine in our care is handled with care and compassion, has access to clean water, feed and suitable shelter. The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for candidates with the following:

  • a minimum of a level 2 qualification in equine studies
  • at least 1 years previous experience of working with equines
  • good communication skills and works well as part of a team
  • sound knowledge of equine care and health needs
  • demonstrable handling skills with a good health and safety awareness
  • a good level of fitness due to the physically demanding nature of the role

Bransby Horses is a large, progressive equine welfare charity, set in the beautiful Lincolnshire countryside, just outside the city of Lincoln. The charity was founded in 1968 by one man, Mr Peter Hunt and has grown over the years, now employing around 150 employees, who share his legacy and the vision; a world where every horse has a life worth living. Bransby Horses cares for nearly 1000 horses, donkeys, ponies and mules (equines). There are just around 250 equines on site and over 600 equines in foster homes around the UK.
