Communications Executive

YMCA Chiltern Group is celebrating 140 years of supporting communities, and we’re looking for a creative, confident PR, Communications and Marketing Officer to join our team.

This is a varied role at the heart of our communications activity, helping to raise our profile, strengthen our reputation and showcase the difference we make across our communities.

You’ll be the main point of contact for press and media enquiries, building relationships with journalists, identifying PR opportunities and supporting proactive media activity. You’ll also create engaging content for our website, social media, email and other channels, and support campaigns, events and wider marketing activity.

We’re looking for a great communicator and storyteller who can spot an opportunity, create compelling content and work confidently with colleagues and external stakeholders. You’ll need sound digital communications knowledge, excellent writing skills and the judgement to handle sensitive or reputationally significant issues appropriately.

Most importantly, you’ll want to use your skills to make a real difference.

As some of our roles involve working with vulnerable members of society, this position may require a Basic or Enhanced Criminal Disclosure, which will be conducted once a conditional offer is made
