This is a {Advertised Permanent / Temporary}, {Advertised Full Time / Part Time} vacancy that will close in {x} days at {xx:xx} BST.

At Golding, we’re more than a housing provider, we’re an ambitious, people-centred organisation with a clear purpose: to keep our customers at the heart of everything we do, create quality homes, and stay efficient, future-ready and focused on delivering lasting value.

We’re proud of our strong track record in building high-quality homes and investing in our communities. Following an exceptional inspection outcome with a G1, C1, V2 rating, we’re stepping into an exciting new chapter.

Our 2026–2030 Corporate Plan sets out bold ambitions. Over the next four years, we will:

  • Strengthen and evolve our culture

  • Invest in our people

  • Deliver on our promise to be a brilliant place to work

It’s a fantastic time to join our People & Culture team.

We’re looking for a People and Payroll Coordinator to join our busy People Team and play a key role in keeping our people processes running smoothly.

This is a varied coordination role covering payroll, pensions, benefits, people systems, data, compliance and day-to-day People Team administration. You’ll be someone who enjoys being at the heart of a busy team, can confidently manage multiple priorities and deadlines, and takes pride in getting things right.

You’ll also play an important role in helping us make the most of our People systems and data. From maintaining accurate records and producing meaningful reports, to identifying opportunities to improve how we use our systems and processes, you’ll help turn good people data into clear information that supports better decisions and helps the People Team deliver successfully.

If you’re organised, proactive, comfortable working at pace and enjoy finding better ways of doing things, we’d love to hear from you.

As our People and Payroll Coordinator, you’ll provide essential coordination and administrative support across the People Team. No two days will necessarily be the same, and you’ll need to be comfortable moving between different priorities while maintaining accuracy and a high level of service.

You will:

  • Coordinate key People Team processes across the colleague lifecycle, including starters, contractual changes and leavers.

  • Coordinate the monthly payroll process, working closely with Finance and our payroll provider to ensure changes are accurate, complete and submitted on time.

  • Administer pensions, benefits and reward processes, including auto-enrolment and related colleague communications.

  • Manage the People Team inbox, responding to or appropriately directing queries and providing first-line support to managers and colleagues.

  • Be a key point of contact for our People systems, helping colleagues use them effectively and ensuring information is accurate and up to date.

  • Make the most of our People systems and data, identifying opportunities to improve system usage, reduce manual activity and strengthen the quality of our information.

  • Produce clear, accurate people reports and management information, turning workforce and people data into information that managers and the People Team can understand and use.

This is a great opportunity to develop broad experience across payroll, People administration, systems, data, compliance and continuous improvement, while making a real contribution to the service our colleagues receive.

More About You

We’re looking for someone who enjoys working in a busy, varied and fast-paced environment. You’ll be highly organised, able to juggle competing priorities and comfortable working to deadlines without losing sight of accuracy or customer service.

You will have:

  • Experience of payroll coordination.

  • Experience working in a busy administrative or coordination role, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.

  • Experience maintaining accurate data, records and documentation.

  • Experience using HR systems, with the confidence to understand how systems work and help others use them effectively.

  • An understanding of how good-quality people data can support decision-making and improve business outcomes.

  • Strong organisational and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage competing demands and adapt when priorities change.

  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Excel and experience producing reports or management information.

  • The ability to work independently while also being a collaborative and dependable member of a busy team.

It would be great if you also have:

  • CIPD Level 3 or equivalent.

  • Experience of pensions administration and statutory payroll requirements.
  • Experience of improving HR or payroll systems, processes or reporting.

Above all, we’re looking for someone who is dependable, proactive and comfortable working at pace; someone who enjoys keeping things organised, solving problems, supporting colleagues and finding better ways to do things.
