Are you an experienced finance professional with a strong background in accounting and budgeting, and exceptional analytical skills? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment, working closely with stakeholders to drive financial performance and process improvements?

We are looking for a Development Budgeting Analyst to take ownership of key financial processes, collaborate with stakeholders, provide insightful financial analysis and drive successful business performance.

You will need a strong accounting and budgeting background, the ability to work under tight deadlines, and a keen eye for detail. You will relish problem solving and can offer alternative solutions.

Our ideal candidate will have experience of building strong cross team relationships. You will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal which will be used to analyse data and deliver clear reports and feedback.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and detail-driven finance professional to take ownership of key financial processes, collaborate with stakeholders, and drive business performance.

This role is generally home based / remote working with the expectation there may be limited travel to our head office in Bournemouth should the need arise.

The Impact of the Role

As a Development Budgeting Analyst, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate and efficient budgeting processes. You will take ownership of annual development budgets, provide insightful reporting, and support the business with financial planning and analysis. Your expertise will directly influence decision-making and drive financial transparency across our developments.

You will be responsible for preparing annual Development Budgets and Initial Service Charge Budgets for new developments. You will work closely with Business Partners, Operational Teams, and Finance Departments to ensure budgets are realistic, well-structured, and effectively communicated.

 

What you will do:

  • Annual Development Budgets: Prepare and distribute budgets on time, analyse cost drivers, and provide data-driven insights.
  • Initial Development Budgets: Gather site data, collaborate with teams, and update budget assumptions as needed.
  • Financial Reporting & Systems: Analyse data, enhance financial models, and ensure system accuracy.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Support appropriate Managers, engage with senior leadership, and drive process improvements.

 

Your Attributes

You will have:

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified (or QBE with relevant experience in preparing multiple budgets and financial reporting).
  • Proven experience in budgeting, financial planning, and stakeholder management.
  • Strong system skills, including Excel, databases, and reporting tools (experience with Adaptive, Qube, and Power BI is desirable).
  • Excellent problem-solving ability, attention to detail, and a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • A team player with strong interpersonal skills.
