Salary: Full-Time - £31,098 - £34,968

Pro-rated for 40 weeks - £27,397 - £30,806

Contract: Permanent

Location: Sheffield

Hours: 37 hours per week X 40 Weeks per year

As a Student Mentor within our new ‘Bloom’ curriculum, you will be instrumental in delivering an exceptional learner experience. This role offers a fantastic first step into a student-facing position, ideal for those with long-term aspirations in teaching or student support roles.

It is an exciting time to be joining the Academy for Preparation for Adulthood (SEND). As an area of growth, you will be joining a team of people committed to helping learners with additional needs grow in confidence and realise their potential through learning. We are a passionate and dynamic team and we are looking for individuals who can bring enthusiasm, spirit and creativity to the area.

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Engage with curriculum teams, parents, and external organizations to ensure a comprehensive support system for our students. 
  • Work closely with learners, helping them navigate their educational journey and achieve their goals. 
  • Participate in a variety of projects, contributing to the continuous improvement of our educational provision. 
  • Working closely with the Head of Student Experience, parents and external agencies to tackle issues
  • Serve as the 'face of staff' to the broader community of learners, welcoming and engaging with students to promote the college's values and behaviours.
