Casual Support Worker

Location: Salford, Old Trafford and Fallowfield, Greater Manchester

Salary: £11.88 per hour

Contract Type: Temporary

Hours: Variable hours, Monday –Sunday shift patterns (night shifts available at Salford scheme)

As a not-for-profit housing association, we provide homes and services to over 16,000 people across Greater Manchester. We build affordable new homes, work with partners to reduce homelessness and support people to reach their potential.

 

This role will help us to do this by providing support through a person-centred approach to vulnerable adults and young people in our supported and sheltered housing schemes. 

 

In this role, you will be responsible for

  • Supporting our customers to help them develop independent living skills, helping them to achieve their potential and to engage in activities and the community.
  • Help to enable customers to develop emotional resilience, overcome barriers and take control of their lives and be involved in all aspects of housing management.
  • Coach, mentor and provide strengths-based approaches
                

We need people who are/ have

  • Worked in a similar role, in a supported housing environment or relevant social care setting.
  • Experience of working with vulnerable adults and young people with support needs 
  • Experience of strengths-based support planning and risk assessment. 

 

A DBS check is required for this role.
