Job Title: Lecturer in Childcare and Early Years
Salary: £28,419 - £40,358 per annum (pro rata)
Contract: MC Lecturer, Full Time or Part Time, Permanent
Hours: Up to 37 hours per week
Teaching Hours: 864 per annum (pro rata)
Annual Leave: 45 days per annum, plus statutory Bank Holidays (pro rata)

About the College
Middlesbrough College is the largest General Further Education College in the Tees Valley and has been situated in Middlehaven, Middlesbrough, since 2008. It has developed from the initial main site to the vibrant campus that is now in place with our Campus Heart, dedicated Sixth Form, STEM Centre, Higher Education Centre, and further development for our apprentices in progress.

Our teaching staff are supported through our Taking Teaching Higher strategy that focuses on ensuring practitioners have the skill set to utilise up to date evidence-based practice, innovate through technology enhanced learning and have access to relevant continuous professional development opportunities.

About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for you to join us as a Lecturer in Childcare and Early Years. Lecturers at the College plan and deliver a wide range of challenging, relevant learning and work experiences that ensure all learners can develop and apply the skills, knowledge, behaviours, and attitudes required for the 21st Century learning, life, and work.
The successful candidate will:
To hold a relevant qualification at degree level.
To be a qualified teacher or must be prepared to commence an appropriate teaching qualification on appointment to the post.
Personal commitment to keeping your professional knowledge up to date and improving your capabilities.
Grade C or above in maths and English (or equivalent) or willing to work towards it.
To hold a post graduate qualification in a relevant field – desirable.
