Join Our Team as a PBS Lead
Bright Futures is a specialist organisation dedicated to supporting children and adults with Autism and Learning Disabilities, including those with complex communication, sensory, and behavioural needs. We’re looking for a Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) Lead to join our dynamic and growing Specialist Support Team. This is a fantastic opportunity to influence best practice across our organisation and make a real difference in the lives of the people we support.
About the Role
As our PBS Lead, you will:
- Champion and implement our PBS strategy across residential and educational settings.
- Support teams in developing and reviewing PBS plans, support plans, and risk assessments.
- Monitor and analyse behavioural data to drive positive change.
- Deliver staff training, coaching, and development in PBS and physical intervention (Team Teach).
- Conduct Functional Behaviour Assessments and contribute to holistic support planning.
- Collaborate with internal and external professionals to enhance service delivery.
- Support transitions for individuals joining Bright Futures.
What We’re Looking For
Experience & Skills:
- Proven experience working with individuals with autism and/or learning disabilities.
- Strong knowledge and practical experience in PBS.
- Excellent communication, assessment, and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a caseload.
- Understanding of best practice in the learning disability sector, including MCA and DoLS.
Qualifications:
- Formal PBS training (e.g., BILD CAPBS Coaches or degree-level PBS).
- Team Teach Instructor training (or willingness to work towards).
- Train the Trainer qualification (desirable).
Additional Requirements:
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
- Willingness to travel between sites and work flexibly.
