We aim to provide comfortable and affordable homes and engage customers and communities.
We’re looking for someone who can provide a technical surveying support service for Stockport Homes Group (SHG), working closely with a range of stakeholders including in-house contractors, partner contractors, subcontractors and customers, to deliver a wide range of inspection and repair services to our housing stock.
The post holder will manage a team of Surveyors and the Assets Inspector, carrying out a range of surveys to domestic and commercial premises pre and post repair and, to record asset condition. You will be responsible for ensuring contractors provide a high performing quality repair and maintenance service and will negotiate payments for variations of completed repairs. Further to this you will ensure that inspections, surveys and repairs comply with the landlords repairing obligations to mitigate against claims for disrepair, personal injury and fitness and that excellent customer service is at the heart of SHG’s culture.
Our ideal candidate will have:
● A recognised building related qualification (HNC or equivalent).
● Experience working in social housing maintenance.
● Excellent knowledge of the landlord and tenant legislation including the housing disrepair protocol.

It is important to us that we have a diverse workforce, representative of the communities we work in. Equality, diversity and inclusion is important to us and we like to acknowledge that everyone is different.
