Position: Student Union Deputy President

Salary: £23,472

Contract: 14-month fixed term contract - running from July 2024 to August 2025

Location:  Sheffield

Hours: 37 hours X 52 weeks

About the Role

Join us as a Student Union Deputy President to support the Student Union President with the day to day oversight of the college Students’ Union functions and events. You will contribute to strategic development to increase engagement with the Union both within college and in the wider community. This will include administrative activities to recruit and support a fully democratically elected team of student volunteers in the roles of SU officers and support delivery of a wide range of engaging events and campaigns for students.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Support the delivery of cross-college student activities
  • Provide administrative support for a proactive, responsive information service for learners
  • Support the delivery of Students’ Union sponsored clubs, societies, events, campaigns and social activities
  • Provide administrative support for events and activities
  • Support the Students’ Union President with the recruitment and management of Students’ Union Officers

Skills & Knowledge

  • Knowledge of the National Union of Students (NUS),
  • Experience of working with students or volunteers and utilising social media
