Lecturer – Animal Care

29.6 hours per week until July 2025

Salary Range £23,072 - £28,432

If so, then this role could be the perfect opportunity for you and to start your career as a Lecturer in the Animal Care department at The Sheffield College. You will be working alongside a passionate and enthusiastic team for approximately 1 year to cover maternity initially

 

Day-to-day you will be responsible for:  

  • Delivering Btec Animal Management to levels 1-3. Teaching and assessing students aged 16+
  • Supporting learners to achieve
  • Recruiting and retaining learners on programme
  • Course leadership, curriculum development

 

After your first year with us, success would look like

  • Supporting the successful completion of current students
  • Recruiting and retaining new students to college
  • Undertaking further teacher training

  • Experience working in the animal care sector
  • Experience working with students
  • Teaching and/or assessor qualification
  • Familiarity with Btec and T-levels
