CS2, part of RSK Group, is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our rapidly growing team on a full time permanent basis. This role is based out of our Manchester office.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for providing a full project management services employers agent, quantity surveying and to the clients of the business across a range of sectors, as well as giving support and advice to other members of the Quantity Surveying Department.

  1. Deliver project management, employer’s agent, and quantity surveying services, from developing client briefs to overseeing construction and completion. Responsibilities include team selection, design review, tendering, contract administration, progress meetings, inspections, and cost management including valuations and payment applications.
  2. Effectively communicate with both internal and external parties ensuring all information is available for the successful implementation and completion of projects.
  3. Generate your own workload, maintaining relationships with existing clients and developing new client contacts and business opportunities.
  4. Advise, manage and guide colleagues to ensure targets are achieved.
  5. Develop relevant knowledge and skills through regular CPD activities and maintain an up-to-date awareness of all necessary legislation affecting the technical aspects of quantity surveying, sharing knowledge and information where appropriate.
  6. Record CPD in accordance with RICS requirements.
  7. Liaise and attend meetings with other company functions necessary to perform duties and aid business development.
  8. Prepare and submit relevant administration in a timely and accurate manner, for example timesheets, expenses, database applications etc.
  9. Adhere to procedures relating to the proper use and care of equipment and materials for which the role has responsibility.

10. Adhere to stated policies and procedures relating to health and safety, and quality management.

Person Specification

  • A relevant RICS accredited university degree.
  • Membership of RICS (MRICS).
  • Experience of dealing with and providing advice on a range of building related matters.
  • Understanding client needs
