General Manager - Egypt

The vacancy
As General Manager, you will lead Mitsubishi Power Egypt with full responsibility for Service Operations—particularly aftermarket services for thermal power generation equipment. This role demands a dynamic, results-oriented leader who can foster high performance, ensure compliance, and build strong internal and external partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Management
- Lead the fulfilment of Mitsubishi Power Egypt’s strategic and financial objectives, including Order Bookings, Sales, Profit, and Budget.
- Align local operations with MHI/MPW-EUK procedures, with a focus on compliance and HSE excellence.
- Champion internal organisational development, workforce planning, and personnel performance tracking in coordination with Functional Directors.
Operational Excellence & Service Delivery
- Drive effective service execution aligned with MPW-EUK standards and business plans.
- Develop and monitor KPIs, ensuring continuous improvement across quality, safety, and operational performance.
- Manage relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and customers to ensure high service satisfaction and business growth.
Project & Programme Oversight
- Support Programme Management in meeting project KPIs, controlling LTSA budgets, and monitoring customer invoicing and payments.
- Review and approve key technical documentation and reporting deliverables.
Financial & Commercial Oversight
- Collaborate with Finance on budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and commercial reporting.
- Oversee payroll accuracy, cost allocation, and purchasing in alignment with MPW-EUK policies.
HR, Talent & Development
- Lead performance management, training initiatives, and succession planning to nurture internal talent.
- Work closely with the HR and Recruitment Teams to meet local staffing objectives and foster a strong workplace culture.
Inventory & Resource Management
- Act as Regional Leader for Inventory, working with EUK leaders to optimise stock management and inventory performance.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in the Power Generation industry and in the management of Power Plants.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business Administration or a related field.
- Strong leadership and direct line management experience.
- Strong background in customer relationship management, project execution, finance, and compliance.
- In-depth understanding of HSE, QMS systems, and regional business practices.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence across organizational boundaries.
- Strategic mindset combined with hands-on operational execution.
- Fluency in both English and Arabic
