We are looking for a dynamic individual with housing management experience to join the Temporary Accommodation team. You should be an adaptable person who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has relevant experience within this area. The right candidate will have the ability to multi-task and take personal responsibility for delivering services to our customers.  You will play a crucial role in understanding and meeting the needs of our customers while maintaining a positive and professional image.

As part of our Temporary Accommodation team, you will use your housing management skills to help us deliver high-quality housing services to customers in our temporary and complex needs accommodation.  You will also manage the lettings process including signing customers up into their homes.

What’s the role?

In this role you will need to:

  • Ensure a high standard of customer service
  • Take personal responsibility and ownership for your work
  • Be customer-focused, with the ability to interact empathetically with a wide variety of people.
  • Have excellent communication skills and have a background in social housing tenancy management would be advantageous
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Have experience of IT packages e.g. excel, word, MRI Orchard including digital sign-up systems

What are we looking for?

You will have a background and experience in housing management within a temporary accommodation environment and have working knowledge and experience in Housing First project would be a distinct advantage.

Essential:

  • Experience in a social housing setting.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Good IT skills with ability to use housing management software.
  • You will need to hold a UK driving licence with access to a suitable vehicle, with insurance cover for business use.
  • You will need to maintain a satisfactory basic level DBS check.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of relevant housing legislation.
  • Experience of dealing with people in difficult, often stressful situations.
