At Watford Community Housing, we provide vital services that help people to live better lives. We’re looking for a school or college leaver, or someone looking for a career change that would like to assist our Executive Management Team as a Business Support Apprentice.

What’s the role?

As part of our Chief Executive team, you will use your communications skills to help us deliver high-quality support services to our internal customers.   

The role will allow you to learn new skills in administration support whilst gaining an understanding of how the Facilities team provide vital services in terms of coordinating our building services.

We are offering you a 2-year fixed term contract – including a Level 3 qualification in Business Support Administration. The role is primarily office-based, working closely alongside the Facilities team. The hours of work are Monday – Friday (37 hours) and you will have one day per week released from the business dedicated to completing your apprenticeship course.

In this role you will need to:

  • Ensure a high standard of customer service.
  • Be keen to learn
  • Have an eye for attention to detail
  • Have excellent administrative skills.

What are we looking for?

Essential:

  • GCSE or equivalent English (Grade A* - C or 9 - 4) essential
  • GCSE or equivalent Maths (Grade A* - C or 9 - 4) essential
  • A Level or equivalent Any subjects (Grade A - C) desirable
  • You will need to have the right to work in the UK and;
  • You will need to maintain a satisfactory basic level DBS check.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of the housing sector
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel
