At Watford Community Housing, we provide vital services that help people to live better lives. We’re looking for an experienced Scheme Officer to join our independent living and flexi-care team to help us deliver our older peoples service to our residents.

What’s the role?

Are you currently working in housing management or looking for a new challenge? Do you want to go home every day knowing you have helped change our customers lives and made a difference? If so, we have the role for you! We are looking for a Scheme Officer to manage our Independent living and flexi care schemes in Watford. You will need to deliver a high-quality intensive housing management service to meet the needs of our diverse resident group and create a safe, and welcoming environment for residents, visitors, and professionals.

What are we looking for?

You will be customer-focused, with the ability to interact empathetically with a wide variety of people. You’ll have an excellent grasp of Housing and Older people’s services.  You will have a background in support and Older People’s services and knowledge of the housing sector would be a distinct advantage.

Essential:

  • A passion to deliver an excellent customer experience
  • The ability to work collaboratively with a range of partners
  • A self-starter approach, and able to work as a team as well as alone
  • Experience in completing assessments and knowledge of safeguarding
  • Good IT and administrative skills
  • Good organisational skills.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of the health and social issues that affect older people
  • Knowledge of the housing sector
